Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the bootcamp for?+
Kids aged 8 - 16 who like building things, playing games, or trying something new. No prior experience needed.
Is it really free?+
Yes — the pilot 1-day bootcamp is free. We keep it small (max 15 spots) so every kid gets attention.
What about phones and screens?+
Phones go into a bag at the door and come back only during breaks. The day is fully hands-on.
What should my kid bring?+
Themselves, a water bottle, and a snack if they'd like. We bring all materials — cardboard, dice, cards, tokens, glue, scissors.
Do parents attend?+
Parents drop off in the morning and are warmly invited to the closing showcase to play the games their kids built.
What language is it in?+
In Switzerland: English or German. In Portugal: one session in English and one in Portuguese, per city.
Is lunch included?+
It depends on the program you have selected. We'll share all details once your registration is confirmed.
How do I sign up?+
Fill in the short form linked from any 'Join' button. We'll confirm your spot by email within a few days.
Are children supervised throughout the programme?+
Yes. Children are supervised throughout the day. We maintain appropriate facilitator-to-child ratios so every participant receives guidance, encouragement and support.
Are the tools safe?+
Children use age-appropriate materials selected specifically for their age group. Where appropriate, facilitators demonstrate how to use tools safely before activities begin. Any materials requiring additional supervision are only used under direct adult guidance.
What if my child gets injured?+
Minor incidents are handled immediately by our team. If a child requires additional care, parents or emergency contacts are notified straight away. Emergency contact information is collected before the programme begins.
My child is shy. Will they fit in?+
Absolutely. Many children arrive without knowing anyone. Our activities are designed to help children quickly feel welcome through small teams, collaborative challenges and shared goals. No child is ever forced to present or participate before they're ready — we encourage courage, never pressure.
How do you prevent bullying?+
Respect is one of our core values. From the very first activity, children learn how to collaborate, listen and support one another. Our facilitators actively monitor group dynamics and step in early whenever needed. We work hard to create an environment where every child feels included and valued.
What if my child has allergies or medical needs?+
During registration we ask parents about allergies, medications and any medical considerations. Please let us know anything we should be aware of so we can prepare appropriately.
How do drop-off and pick-up work?+
Only authorised adults may collect children. Parents receive all arrival and collection details before the programme begins.
What happens if my child feels overwhelmed?+
Every child learns differently. Our facilitators regularly check in with participants and create space for children to take short breaks if needed. Our goal is to help children stretch their comfort zones while feeling supported.
